I've been reading a lot about different foods & also about soft stool issues & was wondering how much people feed their dogs.
How many cups total do you give your dog(s) in a day?

I actually didn't vote because I have 4 dogs, and they eat different amounts. :)

You know, we really can't compare amounts fed by just looking at cups. It might be a good idea to start a poll asking how many calories our dogs eat each day instead of how many cups. Different foods have different caloric density - kibbles range all the way from 280 to over 600 kcal/cup (!) and measuring by cups leaves out our raw feeding friends.

My dogs eat between 1200 and 1600 calories per day. :)

4 cups a day right now broken down into two feedings.
He is very active and is not putting on any weight. As he gets older and/or less active I will adjust the amount to keep him from getting heavy

I feed Nature's Variety Instinct. One dog gets 2 cups /day-around 975 cal/day. The other gets 2 1/2 cups/day - around 1200 cal/day.

Both are maintaining their ideal weight for the past 2 months.

4 cups = 1544 kcals for the eagle pack holistic chicken meal and rice im feeding

I give Levi two in the morning, then two in the evening. :thumb4:
