I feed my lab Eukanuba puppy food 2x a day. 3 cups a day with plenty of water. Should I be feeding her more than 3 cups a day or is this sufficient for a growing puppy? And, is there a time (age) that I stop feeding her 2x a day and feed her just once a day? Someone pleeeease enlighten me.
Thanks

1st, is the puppy food a large breed puppy food? If not, it probably has too much calcium, which is why they make large breed puppy foods. You should switch to a large breed puppy food or an adult food.
How old is your puppy?

Yep, how old is you puppy? They should be fed 3 times a day until 4 or 5 months then 2 times a day for life. Check the back of the bag for a general amount to feed and then tweek up or down for your specific dog.

she eats eukanuba for large breed puppy's. So you're saying that i should be feeding them more. but do i feed them less as they get older?

I've always fed Reese twice a day. However I've seen numerous recommendations to feed 3x, but I wasn't home to feed 3x. You'll be ok with 2x.
I don't think she's saying feed more food, but spread it out between 3 meals.
Also, to answer the other part of your question, you will feed more while they are puppies, and less as they get older. Look at the feeding guidelines on a bag of puppy food and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Depending on your pup's age, 2 feedings a day is fine at 3 cups per day.
Opal, almost 4 months old, gets 3 feedings daily at 2 cups per day. Her vet wants to keep her on the lean side to prevent joint problems later on. With our other Lab pups we'd be feeding about 3 cups at this age, but I'll follow the vet's advice on this one and see what happens. It's easier to put the weight on than to take if off.
Including Opal's treats (veggie hearts, fruits and veggies) her intake is about 3 cups daily anyways. So, if you include your pup's treats is he eating near 4 cups per day?, if so, that's too much.
