The butcher 2 doors down from where I work popped in today for something or other. I asked him if he had any fresh marrow bones in and he did. My boss said I could go straight down as we were quiet. By the time i got there the butcher was sawing away at the marrow bone for me:angel:

He handed me the bag...I asked how much I owed and he said ..."NOTHING".....I got a freebie:D

The dogs are very very greatful:brow:

They've both had a good old chew...about 30 mins. I've rinsed the bones off and will let them have another gnaw later....then it's freezer time.

I rinse them because the dogs have them outside. They were covered in grass and dirt.....now they are clean but still disgusting:eek:

they dont use them anyway and i'd think a private shop would just give them to you.

We have them where i work and they fly off the shelves, they are pretty big around here.

Umm... What are marrow bones? Do they not splinter like poultry bones? Molly wants to know. She said that it sounds good because there was "bone" in the word. ;)
