I just want to thank Barb for closing my baby contest. It just wouldnt be fair to anyone guessing after today.

We just got back from the Dr. and she thinks we should go ahead with induction. I hadnt made any progress from last week and she is concerned because Ms. Elizabeth is only going to get bigger. So Monday at noon we go in to prepare for induction and Tuesday at 7 a.m. they will start the pitocin! :eek: Depending on how fast labor goes, we'll have our little girl by tuesday maybe wednesday!
The Dr. said it is possible for me to go into labor on my own before then, but highly unlikely.
Chris and I are in a little bit of shock but are so thrilled! Thank you everyone for your support and wonderful thoughts!!! :p:

I had pitocin to induce labour on my youngest. They finally just broke my water after an ungodly amount of hours (which I won't tell you, because I don't want to scare you.) Once my water broke, she was here within 2 hours and 45 minutes! Good luck to you, and easy labour vibes! Congrats!

Well ok so it might even be sooner. Not to gross anyone out but i had my "bloody show" a few minutes ago and im having mild contractions, but not too regular. Lets hope this is it and i dont have to be induced! Ill let everyone know!! Hallie ill email you ASAP, maybe you can be my relay person! ;) Thanks everyone!!!

Either way best of luck.

If she doesn't come before you have to go in on Monday then make sure you eat a nice big meal monday morning because once they start an IV for the pitocin you will only be able to eat ice chips until the baby has arrived!!! Also get as much rest as you possibly can between now and then (I know it will be hard but try napping as much as possible!)

Good tip. I like to think of that as the "the last meal". If you have a LONG labor, it could be a long time before you get to eat anything real. Good luck and take care!
