I've not taken alot of pictures yet, as I'm still playing with my camera and my new xd card hasn't come. Some were taken with the P mode on and others with Auto. I bought a Fuji S8000fd 8.0mp 18x optical zoom camera.

My desk at work after opening it up to play with.

At home I put the macro on.

These are from my bedroom of the lake w/full zoom only the 18 optical. As you can see in the one picture I can see across the lake.

Cathy, if you are anything like me, then you are snapping pictures all the time.

I did good when I knew nothing about my camera and now that i know a bit, I cannot get the darn thing to focus and I am frustrated.....

Hope you dont' get to that point...:floor

Great pictures. Love the one of Luca and your son.

Looking good Cathy. Just keep practicing and in no time you will be taking great pictures.

I love the one of Luca & your son where you can see their faces.

I got into photography a couple of years ago having never had any interest before. Once I got going I couldn't stop.

Some of my pics, mostly rugby ones, are on my flickr site.

I will check them out. What kind of camera do you have??? My son plays rugby at Eastern Illinois University. From my old camera I have a few shots. Haven't gone to too many games though.:(

I started off with a similar one to yours, and most of the photos on the site were taken with that, but I recently upgraded to a digital SLR, which is taking some getting used to!! I could do to go on a course to get a bit more experience to be honest cos I'm sure i'm not using it to full effect.

Is it rugby league your son is playing? I had heard that it was being played in the states, in fact our assistant coach last year had some involvement with the game out there.

At his college the mens team is a club team and the womens is a school sport. Right around St. Patricks day he plays in a tournement here close to where I live in Chicago and they play different mens teams (non college). He loves it. His college club teams goes around to different colleges to play. He has gone out of state to play teams in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. I don't think they go anywhere else. Maybe Iowa but that is all. Where are you from??
