Dirk's Mom

So, yes, I sprung them both.
They are both wonderful pups and they are doing well adjusting to their new temporary home.
Demo- He was found frozen to the ground, his eyes frozen shut, and crawling in mange. Luckily, it has been cleared up, he's HW- and a dear, dear sweet boy. I have really fallen in love with this guy. I hope I can adopt him out locally just to see him from time to time!

Nikki is a larger lab mix, a sweet affectionate girl. She seems to prefer my little Demo over my own boy Dirk. Completely housetrained, and someone took the time to teach her sit, down, and shake. Since she was in a shelter without heated runs, I'm working off months of winter coat. She will make someone a fine companion!

Both great dogs, and despite my reservations about pulling two at once, things are working out well. Dirk has finally "graduated" from his crate and is doing perfectly well left alone in the house, although he is curious as to why this new dog is in his crate! Regardless, I think he prefers the couch over the crate while we are at work.
