MISS LISA-
I made the Banana Mutt Cookies the other day for my three. I didn't exactly have 1 1/2 cups of mashed bananas, so I had a little pumpkin (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup) left over in the fridge, so I put that in also. I figured it wouldn't hurt anything. My three love them. It didn't say anything about storing in the fridge, but I did in the hopes that they would last longer.
I also made a batch of "Frosty Paws". Now all I have to say is "ice cream" and my three go to the refrigerator and wait for me to get them out of the freezer! BTY I saw that my grocery store carried them in the freezer section and they were $2.99 for four of them!
GOOD LUCK and hope yours likes them as well as mine did.

What is a frosty paw. I have never heard of anything like that.

FROSTY PAWS is ice cream for dogs. They love it! The recipe is used was one container of plain yogurt (I use low fat), 2 tbs peanut butter (also use low fat) 2 tbs of honey, 1 mashed banana or 1 large jar of banana baby food and some vanilla. Freeze in little containers and after they're frozen, I pop them out of the container and put in their bowl. Boy do they love em. Now when I say either "ice cream" or "frosty paws", they run to the freezer and wait for me.

Thank you Nancy. I will have to try that. Only one more question? When is she old enough to have one. She is only 3
1/2 months old right now.:fastcar:

I'm not really sure about that. My lab will be 1 at the end of May and my other two dogs are around 7. I didn't give Gabby any until about a month ago, just because I really never heard about them. When I did hear about them, since Summer is right around the corner, I thought I would try them. Don't see why your couldn't have them now. It's made out of good stuff for them.

Thanks. It sure would be nice for her as it gets pretty hot here in San Antonio in the summer time. It will be getting in the low 90's pretty soon.:snowman:

Oooohhh, thank you! I had heard people talk about 'Frosty Paws' and figured it was a frozen treat you could buy at PetsMart... Java will loooove that! :)

I was in the local grocer one day and saw that they sell them in the freezer section. If I remember correctly, the price was $2.99 for 4 of them. Way cheaper to make them. And you feel so proud of yourself after you see your babies enjoy them sooooo much.:D

Hello,
Does anyone have any recipes for peanut butter (or other) training treats? My little Gabriel is getting bored with what I'm giving him!
Thanx,
Shera
