I got this email yesterday...I thought they were looking to give them up in MI but it turns out they are in NYC:

Jessie is a super beautiful and healthy Chocolate Lab. 4 years old and rescued when he was a puppy. We would prefer a home where he would have space to be around or live with people who are active. He is very well behaved inside home, but loves and needs outdooring activities (especially swimming and tons of snow). He is definitely a great company for children and adults. It breaks our heart to give him away after of 4 years together, but my family got an accident this year and we are not able to take good care of him anymore. All medical and vaccination history available upon request and willing to take him anywhere to his new home. We would also prefer someone who allow me and my dad to visit him sometime in the future. I am from NYC and open to take him wherever in the States he will find a safe and nice home
