Our 5mo old kitten Charlie has had loose stools pretty much since we got him. He's been checked for parasites, he was even wormed as a precaution before the results came in...negative..no parasites.
Anyways - we feed Calif Natural now, although we've tried just about everything. I have heard people recommend canned pure pumpkin to firm up dogs loose stool, so for the past 2-3 weeks we've been putting about a teaspoon (or less) in Charlie's wet food in the AM. The problem has totally cleared up. No more loose stools, everything's perfect.
We tried discontinuing the pumpkin but the loose stools started to come back, so we went back to about 1/2-1 teaspoon of pumpkin in his morning food. Is this ok to do long term? I'll call the vet about it but I'm just curious to hear what others think!
Thanks :)
