I read a thread about a month ago about someone giving their pup Old Mother Hubbard treats and the pup having runny pup. Well I unknowingly gave my pup Old Mother Hubbard treats last night and this morning his littel tummy was so upset. He went about a 3 times and it was very runny. He has never had a problem like this before. His poop has always been solid. Has anyone else had any problems with this brand of treat?

Kobi's Mom, I can't help as far as the treats and runny poop, but I give my labbies (4 & 7) Old Mother Hubbard treats, raw hides and that is their daily kibble. Never had any problems with them. May have an upset stomach cause it was too fast of a change or too rich for him.

Im starting to think it wasnt the treats. I stopped giving him the treats, and everything was fine. Then a few days later it started again without the treats so it must be something else. Im decieded not to give him any treats for a while until I figure it out! Thanks!

Ironically, Coop had about 1/4 cup of the training bitz tonight at dog school....and lo and behold, we had sqooshy poops! I think it was just too much for him, I usually give him kibbles for training treats.

What kind of treats where they? Maybe I have been giving him too many, we have been doing alot of training this week and he has had a few extra treats than usual, so maybe we should save the treats for obedience class.

I give Jackson OMH treats and he LOVES them. Well, he seems to love them, but he seems to love to put just about anything in his mouth (he's ten weeks).

OMH is actually a local brand for me, the factory store is only about 15-20 minutes away from our house.

I currently give Jackson:

Training Bitz
Meaties (Liver)
Puppy Biscuits
Banana and Peanut Butter thingies (can't remember the name)

He gets mostly the training bitz, but I hide some of the other things in his crate for him to find.

As far as his stool goes, haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary.

I've been giving Shayna Mother Hubbard treats from day one & never had a problem. If she does eat something funky that bothers her I make sure for a day or 2 the only treat type food she has is the mother hubbard till whatever else gets out of her - knowing the mother hubbard agrees with her well.
