Hey, hey, I'm feeling good. My arm is almost broken from patting myself on my back. We, hubby & me, personally transported 11 lab, labx and mixed dogs yesterday from kill shelters to fosters or our Adopt A Lab, Indiana. Wooo hooo, I feel like James Brown, I FEEL GOOD. If any of you have ever considered helping out in someway, do this. My day started at 6 AM, ended at 6 PM, I traveled from the IN/OH border to the IL/IN border then home. I had ELEVEN, count 'em, yes, 11. Can I hear an AMEN?

You deserve a standing ovation! I'm starting by adopting one rescued Lab myself in May. Thanks for sharing your experience and the high you're on because of it. I'm considering what form my service to Labs in need of homes will take. I am in awe of you and your hubby! :ibow :thewave

Thanks so much everybody. I appreciate it. I just got a call from AALI and I am getting to foster the five 8 wks old pups for the rest of this week. I said I didn't want to foster, but....they're all already permanently adopted, just waiting for home visits and they all live close to me, so, what the heck...I guess I will....ha. I love puppies. This will be interesting....I'll probably fall in love and won't want to give them to the new owners when they come here to get them. No, I'll let them go, so I can help more. I will take pics and post for you all to see. We (Adopt A Lab, Indiana) are getting another choc. lab that is pregnant, due any day....so we'll be having more, I won't be fostering these newborns though.
Again, thanks everybody, I appreciate it.

It is fun, but that day really wore both of us out. We actually had 7 dogs in our Tahoe at one time for over 2 hrs. When we first picked them up, it was 85 degrees, which is unheard of here in IN at this time of year. Anyway, so we're all loaded up and the stupid SUV wouldn't start for about 5 mins. Hubby was cursing and sweating, not a pretty site.:doghouse: I said a little prayer, and thank God, it started. It
