My first thought was kennel 'thwap' - you know, when a lab with a killer tail is in a kennel a lot and it gets injured from hitting the walls so hard so often?

from what the rescue told us,that was told to them by the previous owner was that Duke was left outside for long periods of time and he was allergic to the grass,he is growing back new hair in all those spots since he has been in the rescue(go figure) the kennel "thwap" sounds like a good reason cause i really wasnt thinking a grass reation,,,if anything,,,maybe they left him lying outside with all the fire ants, he is also growing new hair back on his elbows front and rear,,like he has spent alot of time lying on concrete. but all that is in his past,,,and he will be just fine! sorry i myself havent posted as i left town for a bit after we got duke home,,,but i see my son has joined(palmguy) and has kept everyone informed. ty,for all the warm wecoms and good wishes! :thewave

Glad everything is going so well with Duke, and that you and your son are sticking around the forum.
Wish I had a pool to jump in right about now. Just got back from the river with the dogs, and it is so hot here right now.

Yeah today the cat actually started coming out of his hiding spot and sniffing duke, the cat will stay around and not run away like he used to the cat is now using dukes pillow.dukes seems like he doesnt mind. Also I just sent away today for Dukes ID badge can't wait to get that home and give it to duke I'll soon post more Pics
