Okay, so let me start out by saying that we had a great time, despite the HOT HOT temps! Although I may be the first to post, I won't be the last and I KNOW there will be more great pictures coming.

So, let me start out with just a taste...here is the gang!

We have, from left to right, Melissa with her nephew Jordan, Owen and Rhys, Alyssa, Abbey, Me (Jennifer) and Riley (DH took the picture), Matthew, Christine and Cinder, and finally Faye and Kendal.

Well, that's it from me! Riley wimped out and refused to put even one toe in the water, so I expect some great water pictures from everyone else! I apologize to Melissa (Luvmydog2much) and Faye (Kleb) for not having any great shots of Owen, Rhys and Kendal (other than the group photo), but they turned out to be more like blurry action shots. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's photos. Whew! Time for a cold drink and a nap. :)

Very nice! But yeah, those dogs sure do look like they were hot!! Looks like everyone had a good time, regardless! YAY!

I forgot to say thanks to Melissa for picking such a nice park. We had so much room all to ourselves and never had to worry that we had the dogs off leash.

Also, you may notice in the first picture (group photo) that we did carefully include the Detroit skyline in the background. (Look close, right above my head.)

Wow you guys are quick..then again, I'm not sure what time it is there. Looks like you all had fun...and yes it looked hot too. What a great looking bunch! Then again, we all are here on this board :D

The boys and I had so much fun! I have been home for about 1/2 hour.

Shutterfly says 32 minutes until photos! So that'll tell you how many I took! Over 300 on my digital and about 30 on film, to be developed.

What an awesome day... great people and their wonderful dogs! I'll add my thanks to Melissa for, first of all, choosing such a great location... we'll definitely be back and, second, for the great t-shirts! That was so cool... Matthew is still wearing his, proud that it says he is "Cinder's Brother". And Faye, thanks SO much for the homemade doggie treats... which thoughtfully included copies of the recipes!

I took dozens of pics... unfortunately none of them are digital so it will take me a couple of days to get mine posted too.

Cinder had SOOOO much fun today... she's crashed in her crate. I was so proud of her swimming for the first time. I knew she'd learn a few things from all of the grown up doggies. (But Melissa, Cinder does want to know why boys like to chase girls... :rolleyes: )

Jennifer and Jim, I think your girls are adorable! And yes, Abbey's toad was the one that Matthew first proclaimed was dead... leading Cinder over to investigate to be sure. I think Riley is magnificent... Soooo handsome. So what if he is devoted to Jennifer and didn't want to leave her side sometimes!

We missed Remy's Mom, Coaken and Hoochifyd who were not able to join us after all. (Hope everything is OK, Carrie, and that your trip is/was safe.) Guess that means that we'll definitely have to plan another... how about early-mid fall next time?!

So it was just Cinder and the boys today... she held her own for most of the afternoon... getting every bit as wet and dirty as they did. Hence the scene that unfolded when she got home...

wow... i finally got a chance to sit down and post on here! i am SO SO SO SO SO sad i wasn't able to make it... but i should have known better than to try to do an outing after a bachelorette party. we wound up losing my phone through the night, and didn't find it until we called the bar we were at, and sure enough, someone had turned it in! so by the time i got the message about you guys waiting for me, it was way too late to get back in touch. i probably should have let you know i was ok! thank you for trying to get a hold of me... it looks like the day went off without a hitch, and everyone had a great time!! lily would have loved it, and was really really annoyed with me for not taking her. i don't know if she's forgiven me yet ;)

thanks again for organizing the event, even though lily and i didn't get a chance to join in the fun!! i would have loved meeting you all... definitely next time!! :)
