Please HELP.. I live in Belton,Mo and I have called the Belton Animal Control through the Belton Police Department 2 times and my daughter has called a couple of times..
Across the street from my daughter lives a 1&1/2 year old male "AKC" chocolate lab that is STARVING TO DEATH.. and nobody will help me help this dog.. He is a pile of skin & bones..
We made the mistake of giving his owner a dog house (which is shelter) and they have a bucket for water (if it rains) and they give him only "left overs" if they have any..
We have offered to buy this dog from these people. They said he is there pet..
I do not know the exact address but, it is on 174th & cerrito. on 174 facing the south and the dog is in the northwest corner chained to a tree.. Did I say Belton, Mo 64012

Very sad indeed. I would say keep calling. It's not like on tv where they get there quickly I guess.....the are busy around my area I know. Can you toss him some food? Or just give them some to give him until he is rescued?

any chance the dog is barking alot, embedded collar, has sores or other concern besides being emaciated that you can add to the complaint? to bad you cant get the doghouse back then call on them. wish i could help but unfortunately there isnt much you can do except constantly bugging the animal control and the family to see if one will do something.-good luck at least the dog has your family pulling for him

I just called the Belton Police Department and they said they will be happy to go over to investigate if you just give the the EXACT ADDRESS WHERE THIS POOR DOG IS LOCATED.

IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO STARVE A DOG TO DEATH. If I had the address...I would try to help him... Please call them back before it is too late for this poor dog.

Can you go over in person and get the exact address? If you daughter lives on the street...she must know??
