Hi All-

I read your posts frequently because I've always admired all of the heartfelt and wonderful things you all accomplish on a daily basis. I posted a post on craigslist.com to see if anyone in the Milwaukee area would like to have playdates with our Nelson and also offered to keep their dogs over the weekend, etc. rather than kenneling them in case anyone needed any service like this. I was contacted by a rescue organization in my area that asked if I was interested in becoming a foster home. We've been in contact throughout the day, and I've also called a family meeting tonight to discuss this with my husband. I'm a little intimidated by the whole process but really feel we could be of help. http://k9ll.netfirms.com/index.htm

Any advice? Any words of wisdom? I also am curious about the costs associated with fostering. We don't have any disposable funds right now but the rescue said they can provide us with food for the dog, etc. Is this common? Is this a fair request on our part?

Any comments are appreciated and welcome!!!

Hi! I think it's great that you are at least thinking about becoming a foster family! So many deserving dogs need homes and fostering is a great way to help them get there. I don't really have any advice as I am wanting to be a foster family one day too. But I just wanted to say thank you for thinking of helping!
Good luck. :)
