As I have posted before, Maggie's recovery from her mast cell tumor surgery has not been going well. This morning she took a turn for the worst....I woke up to her laying in a huge pool of bloody diarrhea (sorry, so graphic). I fell so bad for her....she tried to get up, but her legs are so weak that she could not.

Anyways, I took her in to the vet. The vet is very worried about her....he is hoping that the colitis is a treatable secondary infection from the prednisone she has been on and not from the mast cell cancer spreading. Maggie's breathing is also still very rapid even though the prednisone dose was decreased a few days ago.

So, I had to leave her at the vet's office for IV fluids/antibiotics...and they are also going to xray her chest to see if something may be going on there.

Please, please send good thoughts and prayers for Maggie....she really needs them right now.

Sorry to hear Maggie is not feeling well. Hopefully, it is not the cancer. I will be thinking of her and keeping her in my prayers. Please keep us updated.
