I am the one having a more difficult pregnancy then most. so if you can spare a few extra postive thoughts for this one to stay inside until 32 weeks at the very least I would really apperciate it

Olivia is 4 months now. But when we found out we were pg, I knew we were having a girl. I only liked girl names. I didn't care for a single boys name. We found she was a girl I was like 26 weeks. My DH and his family were shocked because, they are all boys and one other grand daughter.

29 weeks here, everything is sailing smoothly cept for the morning sickness that just won't go away, I guess it will in about 2.5 months! I've only gained 10lbs and I have my big belly now.....can't wait to see what it looks like in another month!

No names yet....we have some possibilities, but DH doesn't want to share them. This makes the 5th grandson on DH's side, no girls! Makes it an even split for my side, because my brother has a beautiful little girl.

I wish everyone nothing but the best and healthy pregnancies!

Another one here. I am 35 weeks. We are having a boy this time and I was happy and surprised. This pregnancy was completely different than the first, which was a girl. With her no morning sickness but I gained 52lbs. Ugh! This time I was sick all day long for the first trimester, have gained 20lbs. and carrying much different. With my daughter I was a beach ball carrying all around. This one is more in front and lower. Good luck to all, can't wait to hear all the updates. I've been having Braxton Hicks on and off since Christmas. Mostly hits at night lately before bed and I can feel my hips loosening cuz they ache all the time. And he is a little soccer player in there. I feel like the guy in Alien with that thing about to burst out of my gut!

Im totally off on this one too. 18 weeks here....only put on a few pounds, but have "spread" at the hips enough that I am down to a few pairs of my own pants to wear. :roll2: AND this one came with morning sickness for the first trimester, issues sleeping already and these sinus problems - which neither of my other 2 boys offered. With the other 2 I was not at all sick and sailed thru both pregnancies without problem.....this little bugger has proven to be a real pain in my bootey already. We are crossing our fingers its a girl and looking forward to a positive and "showing" ultrasound soon. :D

NEXT!! :)

Kirbysmomma - Im praying your little one sticks like glue to your belly and doesnt move for the next few weeks!

I cant believe how many of us there are! I was 35 weeks yesterday and luckily ive had a fairly easy pregnancy. Nothing much to complain about until the last few weeks. I started with the Braxton Hicks around x-mas also, and my hips feel like theyre going to tear apart! owww! It's funny cause as soon as I hit my 3rd trimester I started again with the AM sickness. Not fun! Dr said its cause she's pushing on my stomach.

Anyway,
Allykat, i knew this was a girl! DH almost had me convinced it was a boy, but I stood firm! ;) It's nice cause he is one of 3 boys and this is the first grandchild and its a girl so everyone is REALLY excited. I think 95% of her clothes are pink!

Question for everyone....Is this your first baby?? Just interested in how many of us will be first time mommies and who is a little more expierienced in this field?? :brow:

I keep thinking that mine will be a girl also..that's why I was wondering!! I have so many friends/family that are due between April-Aug that it's gonna be baby season:)

This is our first! I can't help but admit we are scared #$#%^ about how we'll afford the baby and what kind of parents we'll be.

Daisys_momma
01-09-2007, 07:42 AM
Oh us too!!!! I think DH is more scared than I am. Ive been carrying this little munchkin so I already have a bond with her. DH can watch me grow and feel her kick, but its different for him. he doesnt have the physical bond yet.

How are your DH's doing with this??? When Elizabeth kicks it freaks Chris out! lol So funny.

Perhaps in a few years we can adopt.

I am at almost 19 weeks. This is my first. We will hopefully be finding the sex out on the 19th so cross your fingers that the little one will not be hiding what sex they are! I am doing good now, the first trimester was AWFUL but other then some back ache I am feeling much better.

Adoption is awesome though. I have a friend that adopted and infant girl, i guess about 3 years ago. She is the most amazing kid! They have never been happier. Theyre looking into getting a boy soon. Ill tell you though, sometimes it takes a few years just for the paperwork.

I had terrible insomnia with Anthony. Kicked in around the 7th month. This time it kicked in alot earlier. Oh, and somehow, at 33 weeks I have only gained 8lbs as of my last appointment a week and a half ago. I think this baby is gobbling up my fat from my last preganncy. Woo-hoo!!!

I am only 5 weeks 2 days. I am having awful back pain. Did anyone else have this so early. I am a little worried. I don't go to the doctor for 2 more weeks. I think I might call today, just to be on the safe side.

A little lucky. I gained 38 with Angelina, lost about 1/2 of that, got pregnant two more times (2 MC:( ), then got preganant with Anthony, gained about 25 lbs, again lost about half of that and then got pregnant when Ant was 9 mos old. So....I actually am still way behind in losing baby weight!

Yeah, I've looked into it. Yesterday I was doing a little research online. It was sooo sad, b/c the only children available in Alabama were over 8. The average age is around 13-16. I would only want an infant though and I know they are almost impossible to obtain. International adoption would cost around $30 grand I think. We've always talked about it though, and hope to do it in the future.

We've only tried for a month with no luck, but hopefully we'll have some baby dust this next time of trying. I hope that an ovarian cyst won'd hinder my chances. I also hope we don't have troubles. It's kind of scary not knowing if you can/can't have a baby.

Good luck to all of you who are due. Hopefully I'll be joining you sometime in the next few months or so!! :)

With out going to the doctors how do you figure out your due date?

chancie
01-09-2007, 11:07 AM
You take the first day of your last period and count ahead 9 months and 7 days. So say your first day of your last period was December 9 You would go to September 9 plus 7 days you would be considered due on September 16th. I think!!!

Don't feel bad. Every woman's body is different. I hope I don't have trouble, but if we do, we'll deal with it. I'm so excited for all the new mommies to be. Yes, it's frustrating that some of us have to try and try...and try some more, but you all shouldn't feel bad. Just send some baby dust and some lab board water and maybe a few thoughts and that would help a lot.

Like I said, we've only tried for a month, so you never know!!;)

If 11/22 was the first day of your last cycle and you have a 28 day cycle the estimated due date would be 8/29 and you would be exactly 6 weeks today. :)

Try this website

Try this....
It is the cost to raise a child calculator. By the time Elizabeth is 18 we will have spent almost $600,000 to raise her. (estimate of course!)

WOW!

Don't worry Sarah, my sister had 2 c-sections. My first nephew was breach so they had no choice & since she already had one they suggested to have another one. She was sore for about a month & couldn't exercise, lift anything heavy (minus the baby of course). She used a bop that round baby pillow that helps a baby sit up around her waist so she could lift him up enough to feed him.

I was not worried until my sisters relived her horry stories. I had a similiar operation in October to remove a large Fibroid and had no problems with the recovery where as both my sisters had the same surgey and had huge issues. One sister also had c-section and told my how horrible she felt:eek: I am not worried as my DH - is taken family leave for a couple of weeks to help out with the baby. As long as he can lift her to me we should be okay:D

Its not that bad. I had to have a C Section becuase of Kaleigh's heart rate when I went into labor. Honestly I was happier having it because I don't think I could have handled the pain any longer. I have a low tolerance for pain. The first 2 weeks after are a bit hard, try to get someone to help you out during that time. Stairs etc are difficult but it really wasn't that bad. I wouldn't worry too much about it! Good luck!

This will be my third C-section. I have had no problems with them, and actually prefer it compared to my friend's stories of the baby come out the "other" way. The second section I delivered on Friday morning and was home by Sunday afternoon. No biggie!!! Ha!

Daisys_momma

I guess I worry as much about a C/S as a normal delivery. Things could happen either way I guess. The unknown! I hate it!

Louie&Lola
01-10-2007, 11:48 AM
I think it it always like that with your first one. The only thing I can say is "expect the unexpected!" It can go either way. Ive had friends that have had SUPER easy first deliveries. Then there was me, in labor over thirty hours, all kinds of stuff going on, then C-Section. I was scared at first, but really surprised at how quick the recovery was from it. As long as the baby comes out healthy, it doesn't really matter how it got out. At least tht is what I think. Try not to worry too much. Everything will work it's way out (pun intended!!)!

Preggo here!! I am 13 weeks. This is our first. I am thinking it is a boy for some odd reason. I am carrying the baby high and I already gained 3 pounds not good. The boy names we have picked out are Graysen Ryan, Brayden Ryan, or Grayden Ryan. If you can't tell Ryan will be the middle name. The first name I am trying to somewhat name after my grandfather whom pasted away less than a year ago. His name was Ray. So Ray is in all of those names. Right now we only have 1 girl name Addison Sue, Addyson Sue. I have been feeling pretty good other than TRYING to sleep at night. I can't seem to sleep very good. I am always awake or flipping sides. I feel like I am hurting the baby if I don't lay on my right side.

My thoughts and prayers are with all you other preggos out there!

Congrats to all the new moms to be! I had Garrett at the end o f August, and he is gonna be 5months at the end of this month! Time FLIES!
I had a vaginal birth, and he came out sunnyside up..... Ya know my theroy? It hurt regardless, i was only in active labor for 5 hours. I had minimal contractions for about 6 before that, I was at home "nesting" and getting ready. You just get the point in labor that you dont care how it comes out, you just want it out.. You have already experienced the worst of the pain - i thought contractions were worse than pushing, cuz when you push you kinda get some sense of relief. They were gonna give me a CS, cuz i was stuck at 8cm for like 3 hours, then all of a sudden i was ready! I pushed him out in 45 min, and it was my first baby. Every woman is different, just know that the end result is a beautiful baby, and you forget very soon after the pain. I would much rather go thru labor for a day or two over being pregnant for 9 months tho!!! lol....
BTW- i just popped in to say congrats and give my experience. I am NOT pregnant, nor do i want to be.... But two of my cousins just found out they are pregnant - must be a baby boom going on

Ahhh! That's sorda what we ran into, but we own a home & are trying to fix it up and sell it. The room we are planning on using is the computer room which we now have to figure out where to put everything thats in there :roll2: Plus we have to paint and sand/refinish the floor because the inlaws (we took over their house) painted the room before my BIL was born and there is paint splatter every where on the floor  which is basically 30 years old now.

Glad we got some time though!!

I just found out Monday that I'm 10 weeks. I found out because I was going in for x-rays of my wrist (I have carpal tunnel) and they did a pregnancy test before and it came out positive. Kinda a shock for me, we weren't even trying (we've only been married for 5 months) and I've had AF normally for the past 2 months. The Dr. said that could sometimes happen, but I can't help but be worried that something will go wrong.

I'm also a little freaked out, I haven't been able to tell Travis yet cause he's at training for his deployment to Iraq until the 24th of this month and I can't get ahold of him there. He leaves for Iraq February 6th for 6-8 months so hopefully he'll be back just in time.

Luckily one of my good girlfriends has offered to help me out. She has a 4 year old boy and an 8 month old girl so its definately helpful having someone experienced to call on.

I've been pretty lucky, no morning sickness, but I've turned into a complete night owl. I stay up most of the night and sleep most of the day. Kinda driving me nuts, lol.

Congrats to all the other preggos out there! Good luck to all of you! :)

Oh Stacey! Congrats to you and DH!

My best friend is in your exact situation. They got married, 2 weeks later she found out she was pregnant, and the next day he got his orders to go to Iraq. She is 28 weeks and hopefully he will be home by March (the baby is due in april).

BTW, I also had AF for the first 3 months of my pregnancy! I'm now almost 36 weeks, so don't worry too much! Just stay healthy and let us know what DH says when you talk to him! How exciting!!! :) Please dont hesitate to PM me!

How is everyone coming along. I saw that Ti loup is still waiting. I have another appt. Wed and they will be checking my cervix to see where I am at. Getting hard to sleep at night but have been very tired. Nursery is done. Yippee and I have been cleaning and re organizing everything. tires me out but I just have to do it. Wish DH would get into the garage to re organized the christmas bins laying everywhere. he promised he would do it 2 weekends ago and with baby due in 3 weeks we will see if it gets done or not. Hope everyone is doing well.

Doing Ok here. Had an MD appointment today and she measured my belly and said that I was measuring earlier than due date. Maybe I'll have a march baby afterall!

Not sleeping very well, snoring more - DH is waking me more so that he can get some rest. Not sure why he hasn't relocated yet....guess he loves our bed!

I noticed this weekend my belly is limiting what I can do, but DH is trying to finish the basement so he's slacking in the other areas of the household chores and it just annoyed me so much that I went a little overboard this weekend to get it all done.

Still have to measure the nursery to figure out where the furniture is going so we can hang the shelves and finish the decorating. Crib won't be here til April (after baby), so I'd like to get that sorted out b4 baby and crib!

Can't wait for him to get here! Hope everyone else is doing well and that the planning and preparing for baby are going smoothly.

Sorry I meant these...doorway jumpers. I was a nanny for a 4 month old little boy and he just adored the the jumper he would run back and fourth just so he could swing. Its also good for their legs because it makes them stronger so they can walk sooner.

My first appt they did a transvag ultrasound to check everything and we got to see the heartbeat then...it was SO fast!!

The Dr did a health questionnaire about family history and blood and urine tests (at least 7 viles of blood were taken)along with testing for std's and a reg pap to make sure everything was in the right place.

Everytime I go in now I take a urine test first thing.

Good luck....the first one was so neat getting to see the lil' bean:)

My first appointment was with our fertility doctor so they really didn't do much for us. Just did the urine test to make sure i was pregs which the blood work pretty much determined that. Than they did the transvag ultra sound. It was the most amazing thing--I of course cried when I saw the peanuts heart beating. Since our fertility doctor isn't a labor and delivery OB we have a appointment with a new OB which am sure she will do all the things you said above. I am not looking forwarded to all that blood work-bruise to easily for that. :frown:

The bloodwork was so fast the viles just kept filling up;) I'm quick though b/c I usualy donate a few times per year. Hopefully you won't bruise too much.

I go back next week--I hope they'll let me know when I can schedule the ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby :)

They do the urine test to make sure you don't have any protein which is a sign along with high blood preasure of toximia/pre-eclamsia. As for the many viles of blood......I use to be scared of giving blood but after this pregnancy.....giving blood is a breeze, the amount of times that I've had to go for blood work has me signing up to become a donor.:brow:

Had Dr. appt today. She checked my cervix and I am already dilated to 1.5cm. but still thickened membranes so I have more effacement to go. Dr. said she doesnt think I will deliver within the next week, which is good since I live on top of a mountain that does not deliver babies. I plan on going to stay with family near the hospital I am delivering at (2hrs away) towards the end of next week depending on my progress when she checks me next Wed. I am due Feb. 12th but I think this little boy will come a tad early. Getting close, now I am anxious and remembering all the labor pains from before and getting very nervous about that again. Will be soooo excited to find a comfortable position to sleep in and not have those aching hips. Argh! Just got our tempurpedic mattress delivered today so will have a new sleep experience. I dont have my 2nd set on the computer yet but she has the cutest chubby cheeks, and its amazing to know that she's going to look like me! It is scary and exciting. But I have found it to be true that nature does kick in and somehow, you figure out what to do with that pink, squiggly, squirmy, screaming package that you just delivered. And what you don't know, don't be afraid to ask. Don't be afraid to listen to your own instincts as well. It will amaze you how quick that protective mama instinct kicks in!!!

I felt the same way when I had my first. Nervous, anxious, wondering if I will do things right and be able to read my babies needs. You will settle in fine and pretty soon you will be so overwhelmed with love for the little one , the nerves fade away. This is number 2 for me and I am feeling anxious and nervous too. Trying to remember all the milestones and do's and dont's but you work it out. My main concern now is giving enough attention to my almost 3 yr. old while their is new baby brother around.

Elizabeth Faith.

The day we found out it was a girl, I told DH that neither one of us was going to bed that night without a name picked out. We had had a boy name picked out already (DH swore it was a boy!) it took us awhile, but we decided on baby Elizabeth and we're hooked! :)

You told me that before, im sorry! I love the name Gabrielle! Ok im just so excited!!!! My husbands cousin is pregnant with their second baby! She is due in Spetember and I am so thrilled for them. Their son Kyle JUST turned a year a few weeks ago. I cant believe they're gonna have them so close!

This got Chris and I talking, again, about how close we want our kids. We pretty much agreed that we want them at least 2 maybe 3 years apart.

How long is everyone waiting, or did you wait, in between to get pregnant again?
Or, did it just happen?

My thinking is that I want enough time to spend with Elizabeth before I have to share myself with another baby. Is that selfish?

Actually I was FINALLY able to feel substantial movement for the first time just a few days ago. It's awfully strange to feel that for the first time LOL. As far as the "honeymoon" goes...consider yourself lucky. She's got a mild issue to deal with that precludes such "activity" :floor It also precludes lifting, or moderate/heavy exercise...things like that. It's no biggie...just something we're watching. No, no 3D for us. We figured with 3 regular ultrasounds, a 4th would probably be pushing it. I know there's no documented issues with ultrasounds, but it just *sounds* like it's too much LOL...

I thought about doing a more boy-ish theme like trucks, or sports, or race cars, but I decided that we can do that kinda stuff when he's a toddler. That way we can make it tailored to his personality.

I love that driving force show!!! Very funny!!! I think you should do whatever you want for the baby's room. I wanted something very simple and still kinda girly and we're really happy with it.

Ill tell you though, the only time i really felt overwhelmed with baby things to do was right after my baby shower. We just got the bedding and I was sitting in her room trying to organize everything. It was horrible! That was one of the most stressful parts of my pregnancy! The laundry was unbelievable! I just want to prepare everyone for that! Trying to wash and organize everything before baby is here is nervewracking!

Yeah....understandable. My goal is to have the nursery done by the date of the first shower (March 17th) so that we can take stuff directly from the shower, wash it (if needed), organize and put it away immediately. I'm sure it's going to be pretty overwelming though.

I am trying to find a pic of the onesie I bought for the new baby. It is sorta similar to this, but it says "Baby in Black....Johnny Cash" on it. Trying to get this one too. My husband loves me.

I'll be 30 on 3/3 - baby is due 3/39. So much for partying it up for my 30th! DH will be 32.

I must say I love the choices you all made for your nursery ensembles! I went neutral and have an "adult" theme, I made my own Crib Skirt and Curtain. Decided no bumper - unless I buy a generic one, just don't have the motivation to make my bumpers. Still have to figure out the arrangement of the room and get the pictures/accessories.

Kat,

You MUST understand. I have managed to convince myself that the baby will be healthy and happy from birth and sleep through the night. Any discussion to the contrary by you or anyone else is seriously detrimental to my emotional stability.

Please do NOT rock the boat :floor
