Anyone familiar with this brand? My local feed and farm store is getting rid of Iams/Eukanuba products. I have been using the Lamb and Rice.
In checking the ingredient labels, looks like the biggest difference is the lack of any corn or corn byproducts in the Pro Pac.

Pro Pac looks like an okay food. Not unlike Wellness only with a little less meat protien I think. I'd rather see Chicken and Chicken meal rather than just chicken meal. This food is still pretty heavy on grains but looks better than the Eukanuba to me.
Pro Pac Ingredients:

Info:
Brewers Rice - this is a waste product with little nutritional value - basically a filler.
Corn Meal - a rendered portion of corn - many dogs have problems with corn as it is largely indigestible
Fish Meal (source of fish oil) - rendered product of unknown piscean origin ;)
Ground Whole Grain Sorghum
Ground Whole Grain Barley
Dried Beet Pulp (sugar removed)

hmmm. I'm looking into the lamb and rice, but you are right. First ingredient is Lamb Meal.
Thanks for the reply. Think I'll just find another outlet.
I'll also look into Wellness and some others. My golden has a chicken allergy so I'm trying to stick with lamb while trying to eliminate some of those unbenificial fillers.

The Wellness Supermix5 Lamb looks like a good choice, however the nearest vendor is over 50 miles away.
