Hi,

When I go to my parents place I cannot read the posts. I can go into a board (ex: the General Chat area) but there are no titles to the posts, so I cannot open them. (i see the layout and the words like "sticky" but not the tiles or the poster's name)

If I send a specific link I can see that page, but if there are multiple pages to that post I cannot see them.

I thought this would be caused by a firewall or whatnot but the problems still occurs when I close it.

I'd love to get my dad to visit this site, since i'm ALWAYS talking to him about things i read or see here haha. So if anyone can suggest solutions it would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Tanya

Hmmmmm, Burtman? He'll probably have some ideas for you! Sorry, I'm no help at all with technical stuff like this, LOL!

Got me stumped, the only thing I can think of is their default colours that they have set for viewing the web??? Maybe it's hiding the links on the page or something because they are the same colour as the background. Check the Internet Options in IE on this.

If thats not it let me know because this is the first I have heard of it. You could also try downloading something like OPERA which is another web browser and see if if works in that one.

Thanks alot for your input. I thought it was a weird problem myself! haha.

I'm not at home anymore but will talk to my dad and see if those suggestions work. I do remember trying to click where the titles should have been but that didn't seem to work. I'll give it another try when I get the chance.

It seems like a configuration issue with Explorer. Even a problem with firewalls wouldn't lead to that kind of an issue.

I'll keep you informed,

Thanks again!

Here's some of my suggestions:

Reset windows display options, "Appearance" to windows standard.

"Restore Defaults" in your Explorer options under "Advanced".

Purge your internet cache, sometimes it just needs a good cleaning.

Try windows update to see if there are any updates for your browser.

Good Luck.. let us know how you fair.

Thanks Henneberry. I'll try those solutions (as well as Burtman's) as soon as I have the chance :)
