My mother used to breed Boxers and later she started Akitas. She no longer breeds due to illness but because we lived in North Dakota and later Montana...BRRRRR...she'd make a seasonal recipe for the dogs called : Winter Soup. When I first read this in September, it was 95 degrees outside. Winter Soup? Nah, it's too hot for Winter Soup.

Now it's October, it's 20-30 degrees cooler, and winter's coming on fast. Winter Soup? Sounds good!
