Just wanted to post this here so everybody realizes its the Natural Balance Venison dog AND cat foods that appear to be causing illness. Natural Balance has just today posting a warning on their website.
Here's the link to the thread on it: http://www.lab-retriever.net/board/showthread.php?t=100949

I'm continuing to research this and apparently there is a problem with the NB Venison and Pea canned cat food as well, exploding/foul smelling cans.
Also found this:

Dry food is manufactured at Diamond, with Natural Balance machinery, by Natural Balance employees. Natural Balance personnel are the only ones to work with the machines and products. Diamond packages the products.

Zencat -- would you mind posting where you read this? My cats get the Feline Caviar dry as their main food but I give them a rotation of all the Natural Balance and Nutro Natural Choice canned for their breakfasts. (The non recalled ones) I thought the canned was safe in the cat formula? (I'm not feeding any cans at the moment temporarily, as I am only feeing the dry food -- but I am trying to figure out which cans to return and which to just hold on to for a while. Thanks. - Donna

All ingredients are from the U.S. except for lamb & venison?!?! Ummm, I don't think so! That's what this whole fiasco is about!
