View Full Version : Regal Sensibites Food
Layla's Mom 02-21-2005, 08:34 AM Has anybody heard of this food? It's manufactured by U.S. Grains. A friend of mine got a sample from a groomer/boarder in our area. The groomer swears this is the best food made and she's the only one who sells it.
Sounds kinda fishy to me, so I told my friend I'd see what I could find out.
Anybody know anything?
ZenCat 02-21-2005, 09:50 AM My search turned up nothing. Can you get the ingredients from your friend?
I agree, sounds fishy to me too, on a couple of counts... can't find a thing about it online, its manufactured by U.S. Grains which means you can count on genetically modified grains (which is going to be true of most dog foods anyway) and what are they doing manufacturing dog food anyway? Still, interested to hear more about this.
Layla's Mom 02-21-2005, 11:16 AM I'll check with my friend and get her to give me a list of ingredients...I think it's strange the groomer is the ONLY one who sells this in this area (Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex). She says she doesn't add to the cost - just sells it at the price it costs her, which is pretty pricey, IMHO..a 15 pound bag sells for around $22.00.
Layla's Mom 02-22-2005, 08:23 AM Okay, here's the ingredient list from the Regal Sensi-Bites Dog Food...what do you think?

ZenCat 02-22-2005, 09:52 AM It doesn't look as bad as I was anticipating, and its fairly simple (which I always like) but I don't know that just by looking at it I'd think it was an exceptional food. I'd still wait to see more info about it, any feeding trials conducted, etc.
Dad of Jes 02-22-2005, 10:18 AM In all honesty, I tend to shy away from the newer upstart brands (which this may not be one of them, maybe I just haven't heard of it) until they've proved their worth. However, if it meets AAFCO standards, and even better, has been substatiated to meet these standards through feeding trials, it's worth a try. I'm much less concerned with the ingredients (to a certain degree) and much more concerned with the results the food delivers (or fails to deliver).
ZenCat 02-22-2005, 10:22 AM The fact that a long search on google (trying more combinations than I can even remember) turned up nada on the brand would have me hesistating. So would the fact that to your knowledge its just one trainer who carries it. Not even pet stores.
Leah&Toby'sMom 02-22-2005, 11:07 AM I'd be hesistant just for the fact that if the groomer stops selling it -- then what?
