View Full Version : Rescue Pups: Astro and Bethany

Little Bethany joined her brother Astro yesterday morning. After 3 weeks of antibiotics and many ups and downs (mostly downs), it was decided that the best thing for the little girl was to euthanize her. Since leaving the shelter 3 weeks ago, Bethany has lost 4 1/2 pounds. Her last few days she'd not eat or drink and was wasting away to nothing and having very, VERY labored breathing and would only stand up but never walk. Odinhaus and I took her in yesterday morning and consulted with my vet. Together we all made the decision to let Bethany go.

Rest in Peace baby girl.

Oh gods, poor baby... I'm so sorry. I can't read these threads anymore... I sit and cry. What sweethearts. Thank you for taking care of them.

So sorry. Even thought you know what is best, it still hurts to let them go.

I am sure she is in a better place now - running around being a total goofball and feeling great.

She sure was a sweet thing, and you tried SO hard to get her well Tammy, it just wasn't meant to be.

R.I.P little Bethany

Tammy, you tried so hard to save these little ones, and brought so many people together in the effort. At least they did not pass unnoticed, and their story has inspired so many others.
