Cody's family could no longer care for him. :( As you can see by his tag, this boy was a pet, a friend. Now he is at the shelter. What a horrible turn of events. Please consider giving Cody his second chance at a home!

Hello, I came to the shelter to find my new forever home. I am 6 years of age and a great boy. My family said they no longer had time to care for me. OH, this kind of stuff just makes me want to slap that family/person in the face. I'm sorry, I just couldn't. Poor guy! Imagine what that poor dog is thinking.

People think "oh, he's a good dog, he'll find a home". We need to get publicity out that taking your dog to the shelter IS A DEATH SENTENCE. Or, in Michigan, worse than a death sentence.

Spoke with shelter. Cody is still there waiting for a home, and he is a good boy. A little hyper :-), but a great dog.

He's been abandoned..please give him a chance.

Yeah, this boy was emailed to me by the shelter yesterday. I am leaving for a business trip today and don't have time to find a foster home for him...I'm very sad.

I put in a call to the shelter about Cody. Left a message. Patty from Adopt A Lab can take him. I can set up transport. I'll let you know what I find out.

Oh!! Thank you, Susan!!!!! I am so grateful!!! When I spoke to the shelter about Cody this morning, they said that they were open until 3:30. I pray this works out!! A huge thank you to Patty for being willing to help Cody!!!

Thank goodness for Patty. So sad that there isn't more lab help in MI. But thankful others are saving what they can.

Just talked with Jan from the shelter about Cody. He's still available but I have to talk with Crystal who works with the rescues. She's at a doctor's appointment right now. I'm going to call her around 5 pm this evening. I'll keep everyone posted on what's going on. I can take him down to Patty next Saturday morning if everything works out. He's a beautiful little boy.

Talked with Krystal, the shelter manager about Cody. My husband & I are picking him up next Sunday and transporting him down to Patty at Adopt A Lab. He will be altered before transport and utd on his shots. He's safe with Krystal until we get him. This shelter works great with rescues. I'll be working with them again!!! Yes!!!! It's great when things like this work out so well!!!

Oh my goodness!!!! This is just the best news ever!!! Thank you so much for sending him to Patty and for picking him up! Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving Cody's sweet life!!!
