The first two are available starting Monday.
The last dog is available today and will be PTS late Tues or Wed. morning. He needs medical care, so didn't go into detail but if you look at his pic, his neck looks like it needs help!!

Dear Lord, someone needs to help that last boy before it's too late and get him to the vet! They are all gorgeous? Anyone looking for a beautiful new friend?

I posted this to sgd a few minutes ago - this is the sum of our experience with floyd and why there are so many hurdles for rescue

Labs - Does Floyd really want rescue help?

February 16 2009, 6:06 PM
We called to say we would take all 3 - one older male, one younger male - one injured adult (attacked by neighbor's pittie)

Of the three, the younger was reclaimed.
The older male has an owner who is supposed to come reclaim, but had not as of the time we called but seeing that he MAY, he also is not a candidate for rescue.

Third lab was attacked by the neighbors pittie - both who are perpetually chained to trees - the lab has been there since tuesday (he has passed his reclaim period)- floyd did take him to the vet to treat, but he desperately needs further vetting asap and they said they were not going to do it - since wed is euth so basically what is the point? the dog has drains in its neck and severe puncture wounds/abscesses - the owner knows he has been there since tues apparently - as soon as we said we want him -15 minutes later we called to confirm our Vol was coming today rather than tomorrow due to his injuries and all of sudden the owner is there reclaiming this lab - acc to floyd he will be cited - big deal

just what does this say about wanting to work with rescue - its almost as if they did not want us to rescue him and took it upon themselves to contact the owner to spite the rescue effort

just what is the adoption fee in floyd - its beginning to seem the only way to rescue is to circumvent and adopt...

i can only pray the lab receives the serious follow up vetting for his neck injuries - and that he wont live his life forever on a chain

This is absolutely sickening!!! First of all, thank you for trying. I figured that you guys would be on the case. The injured boy was SO close to being free!!! It hurts my heart to think that he will return to the chain...and may not even receive care. Clearly, his owner did not want him back until the very last minute! This is so sad and discouraging!

What a shame. Thank you for trying and for all you do...

the injured lab was picked up by ac again today! while we were up there picking up the older lab who they wouldn't let us have on monday due to possible owner reclaim (owner never came), so now we have the injured lab, the older lab and a black lab mix - i am thrilled he broke his chain - all 3 headed to the vet

Oh my goodness--I can't believe this wonderful news!!! I have thought about that boy so many times since hearing that he had been reclaimed. I am so very grateful that you guys were in the right place at the bright time!! Thank you so much for letting us know!!!

So, are you saying that two of the three pictured above are with you guys..and the other was reclaimed by owner?

Let us know how the hurt boy is doing! THANK YOU!!!!!!

I had an email from somebody that was interested in adopting but wasn't sure what thread. I told them to get ahold of somebody in this thread.
