Am posting this for someone els who uses hotmail and therefore cannot subscribe to this board (or so she tells me). I don't know what Katrina might do to this shelter.... marcia

I realize it's asking a special favor, but is there any possibility you could post info on the following golden retrievers and labs which are scheduled to be gassed (en masse in a gas chamber) on Monday PM if not claimed before then? (I tried to do this myself on the main rescue boards which you gave me, but they don't accept hotmail addresses and that is the only email I have access to).


They are currently in Lafayette, LA, (Roicy Duhon Animal Control Facility), where many highly adoptable animals are gassed each week. There are currently four beautiful golden retrievers (three pups may be crosses) who are scheduled to be gassed Monday, Aug 29th at 5:00 PM if no one claims them, as well as some other highly adoptable labs. They have already missed one gassing by shear luck. Posting them on this board may be their only hope to be noticed before Monday PM. If there is any chance you could post the info for them, it could be their ticket out of a dreadful gas chamber, something no animal should have to face in the 21st century.
