i'm noticing a few ppl rotate different food for their dogs...i'm assuming for nutritional reasons.

now Emma's been on Costco's Kirkland Chicken & Rice for a few months now. she is the one with the world's most sensitive stomach here....and this food is working GREAT for her tummy & poop. :D

now i'm wondering... should i switch things up for her? eating the same thing's gotta be boring.... should i mix or rotate different food into her diet to supplement? if i do, which brand & formula works well like Kirkland C&R?

i'm not opposed adding small portions of raw a couple times a week if it'll help her staying healthy & such... i'm open to any suggestions. :)

With your dogs stomach issues - if it aint broke don't fix it :-)

I have never felt the need to rotate food for my dogs and they have never gotten bored with what they eat.

If your girl is eating her food, liking it and having normal stools and no stomach issues - I wouldn't change a thing. JMO

We rotate, but our dog does fine with changing cold turkey from one to another. We also throw in raw meals here and there. If we ever feed her a food that disagrees with her, we make a note and skip that one in the future. Not sure if this plan would work with a sensitive stomach.

We go Kirkland chicken and rice and California Natural, works okay for us and our dog has a sensitive stomach. We went Cali Natural after Canidae switched formulas, and it was great for our dog anyways.

We rotate...my dogs have sensitive tummies so I found a few foods that work for them and that is what I rotate through...we really like EVO and Merrick but I was worried that they were so high in protein so I like to rotate them with Cal Natural and Innova which have grains. I also use BG can food and have tried Solid Gold Barking at the Moon but its so expensive so even though its in the rotation its not as regular as the others...we use EVO the most. :D

i guess buying a big o'bag of new food to try could be an expensive experiment if it doesn't work... or a messy one if her tummy acts up.

i think i may try giving her bite size raw chicken or something with her kibbles to see how she does with it. let's hope she won't stop eating her kibbles tho! ;)
