Shadow was born on December 2, 2004 and lived for only a little over 14 weeks. She was the littermate and sister to my dog, Bull. When Nick first brought her home, I never even imagined that she would be gone in less than 3 months. She is what made me want to get Bull in the first place. She was so calm that first night, just laying on the couch, ignoring the kitties who were terribly interested in the new little black thing.
She was the smartest puppy. By 3 months old she knew sit, lay down, and roll over. And recently, all you had to say was "kennel up" and she knew exactly what to do. She was going to be Nick's hunting buddy, go everywhere he went, and just be his shadow. Unfortunatly, for unknown reasons, her life was cut short.
Silly Shadow, with her gangly legs and goofy personality. Sadly, she will never know the great life that laid before her here on earth. She must have been so special that God needed her somewhere else, perhaps at the Rainbow Bridge, to comfort those who need it.
RIP, Sweet Baby Girl. We love you and will see you again. Love, mom, dad, and Bull.
