Sierra is doing great - finally!!!!!!! I have finally realized that she does want all her food, but needs more time than the 15 mins we have been giving her. Now her food stays out about an hour and she is eating it all. She takes a lot of breaks in between trips to the bowl. We are now giving her the amount she eats (2 cups) and not the amount on the bag (3-4 cups). She does not bark for more and seems very content.

Thanks all for the advice and opinions!

Happy in NJ!

Thats good to hear, our young pup (12 weeks) is so cute when she eats. She can't sit still she grabs up a mouthful of food in the kitchen and starts walking to the living room dropping a half dozen pieces of food along the way, then she turns around and picks them up along the way back to her bowl. At first we though she was just wanting to be in the same room with us so we would set in the kitchen when we put her food out to eat but she still does it. She'll grab a mouthful and just wander the house. At least she picks up 99% of all the food she strings around the house. It takes her about 30 minutes to eat a bowl of food even when she is starving.

Wow, I had forgotten that. Our first lab, Maggie, used to walk back and forth from the kitchen to the livingroom when she ate. She would always go back and eat the kibble she had dropped along the way. Thanks for the memories. We miss her so much.

I know! I no longer stress if she skips a meal. I now know she will make it up at the next one. She has filled out some and looks real good. Never thought "I" would be worried about a dog!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHe sure has grown on me and I am crazy about her.

Great news!!! Is she still eating Wellness? If so, are you happy with it? Or if you changed, what is she eating now? I'm looking for a new food for Olive...something of better quality. She's currently on a Purina LB Puppy food.

Yes we are still using Wellness. Her coat is soft and shiny - just beautiful. Before it was coarse and dry.
