If anyone is considering a change to a hypoallergenic dog food, here are some of the allergy foods we see people using...
Californa Natural (Lamb & Rice or Chicken & Rice)

Natural Balance makes 3 hypoallergenic formulas: Venison & Brown Rice, Potato & Duck, and now Sweet Potato and Fish

Wellness makes 2 hypoallergenic formulas: Simple Solutions Duck & Venison

There are others, but if you are looking for a food for a dog who you think might be, or who has been diagnosed with food allergies or sensitivities, your best defense is to learn how to read labels and have an awareness of common allergens (though a dog can be allergic to anything, some things seem to be more common than others). Some common allergens are beef, wheat, soy, dairy products (though yogurt is often tolerated well) and frequently corn. We even see some dogs who can't tolerate chicken or rice which often makes the choice even harder.
You should try to choose a food with one source of protein and one source of carbohydrates. The idea is to try to minimize the number of ingreidents so you can figure out which one doesn't agree with your dog.
If anyone knows of any other foods that fit this category, please add them to this thread!
And of course raw and homemade diets are always excellent options!
