This was a cruelty case that came into the shelter. They are desperate to get this dog a chance at life. The first picture shows his conditions prior to his being at the shelter. This is a young dog that comes around and plays with you now. A little standoffish, but has potential of being a great pet. He's happy to be at the shelter now, where he can walk, gets food and water.

PLEASE HELP SAVE THIS DOG!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man, this poor boy deserves a good life in a forever home. I wonder if the previous owner thought he had a strong enough chain. It was deplorable to treat this boy this way. Praying someone will give him a home where he will be loved.

:frown: He was chained, that chain looked massive enough to haul a boat, he lived in a whole in the ground and that is only what we are seeing from the picture, his life was most likely even worse than that.
Now a kill shelter.
 Keeping positive thoughts for this dog to be Saved!

That poor baby is probably tickled to death to be in a shelter. He thinks he is in Heaven after what he has gone through, sad part is, he may be in Heaven way way way too soon.

I'd take him in if need be, but I am sure he will be adopted out down there after this exposure, don't you think? Of course, look at little Lily....................

OMG, hasn't he been thru enough in his short life. Living like that and then to be brought to a kill shelter. I'm praying his angel of mercy saves him soon.

I praying you're right Linda.

They should have let him off that chain so he could run away to a better home! OK I know it may not have worked out that way, but it makes me so mad to see that!! Poor baby :(

If I'm not mistaken, Red only had a couple of days before he was scheduled to go down. Very small shelter, not enough room to hold. On the plus side, they brought Red to the vet for me. They are very easy to work with, just need to call and talk to them.
