I just thought Id put it on this website....I use to post here alot but not to much in recent months. I have a 1 1/2lab named Sushi and he is the sweetest darling love of my life. My husband is currently active duty Army and will be leaving for a year......long story short....because Im about to have my third child in 4 weeks and move back with my Mother, she wont allow Sushi in the house. Ive asked all my relatives and friends.....no one can take him. I dont want to give him to a shelter, its breaking my heart as it is. I guess Id rather see him with a loving family.
Anyway, we live in San Antonio TX. He is an awesome dog...he sleeps in till around 7, loves to go for walks, loves kids, and loves other dogs, curious about cats, totally house broken..he would die before he went in the house! ....my two kids 4 and 2 years old love him and are gonna die when they find out. Not much of a watch dog, in fact when someone comes to the door, half the time he just continues to lay on his bed! Anyway, if this is posted in the wrong section, im sorry, im just desperate to find a good place for my darling Sushi. Thanks for listening.
I posted this on the OT forum by mistake....sorry!

I am so sorry you are in this situation....Sushi looks like such a loving dog by your picture...

Have you considered contacting a Lab Rescue? That way, you would know that he will go to a loving home and he will be protected by the rescue as well, (in case the new owners couldn't keep him, if would go back to the rescue).

You can try this one in Texas:

Also, be very careful about re-homing your dog. Never place an ad in the paper "free to good home". There are some "not so nice people" looking for dogs to use for dog fighting or sell to Class B dealers for research. Just be very careful, screen people and always do a home visit.
