Does anyone now the symptoms of melamine poisoning? Im curious because my moms Yorkie eats Science Diet Senior canned food. She is going to switch to diamond canned or something else but I don't know what to tell her to feed him. He is 13 years old and I worry about him. He hasn't been sick or anything I'm just wondering. From what I have read the symptoms are:

Loss of appetite, Vomiting, Lethargy.

Early signs of kidney failure can also include increased water consumption, and increased urine production.

You may want to check kidney function thru blood work just in case for early detection.

I don't blame you. I would have done the same thing. As expensive as it can get its my first step when I suspect a problem or am monitoring a dog with issues. Thank god for plastic!
