Thanks so much Ed and Peggy for hosting...I had a WONDERFUL time! So did Aowynn...she's still just laying around the house falling asleep here and there...I hope it goes through the night..I think she's exhausted. I know I was when I got home and took a nap myself.
BTW...Oklahoma won the game but my husband said it was a VERY boring game! He would have had a better time it he come with me...maybe next time!

OMG did we have two lab fest (TX and CT) going on the same day...how cool! Looks like you had great weather and a whole lotta fun.

The weather here was great. It was in the 70's to low 80's low humidity and plenty of shade all day.

Wish I could have gone as well!! Looks like loads of fun!!

Morgan's coach called Thursday afternoon to announce practice for Saturday at 3 p.m. which basically ruled out going anywhere or doing anything that'd not have us home in time...and God forbid I let her miss 1 practice :rolleyes: :D .

Get a rope. We should string up the coach for calling the practice. :eek:

We had a small group for the get together. There were 3 blacks and 3 yellows. 4 girls and 2 boys. It was really something to see them playing.

Hey, thanks SO MUCH, Ed & Peggy, for hosting our Texas Lab Fest! We had a great time (humans and dogs alike). Baily and Chester slept the whole way home in the car (yea!). The weather couldn't have been better, the food was wonderful and the company was the best! We loved seeing the dogs and their people in person. We're already looking forward to the next one!

Shadow slept most of the afternoon and then was too tired to play in the evening. She laid down by her sock that she usually plays tug of war with me. All she did was nudge it with her nose and then just lay there. She slept pretty good last night.

How about the rest of you who were here how did your dogs sleep.:sleep:

Ao slept like a rock! I had to coax her to eat dinner...of course after all those treats I guess who would want to eat...LOL
She slept until 6:15 am this morning which is about 30 minutes later than usual...HOW NICE!

I think Shadow is a little depressed today. You know how it is... all the excitement and then nothing. Either that or she is just pooped out. We went for about a mile walk last night and then went to Eisenhauer park where they have a very high hill this morning for a 2 to 2-1/2 mile walk. She may just be exhausted. Either way she is not chewing on me to play with her. At least not today anyway... tomorrow is another story.

Thanks Calleys family and Zencat. Yes it was a great day. Great weather, great dogs and last but not least great people. Everyone enjoyed themselves and helped to make it a great day. Especially my sister Pauline and her husband Mark. Though they didn't bring their dog they helped and did the cooking and helped everyone to feel at home.

ZenCat.... Lab Fests Rock is an understatement. I know of no other gathering of dogs that could have had a mixture of 5 month to 4 year old dogs and yet there was no fighting. Of course Shadow had to show she was not going to be dominated by Chester but other than that it was like they were one big family.

The pictures look great! I kept forgetting Ao was the youngest pup only five months and she is such a big beautiful girl. (I know Chester agrees with me!)

I loved Chester & Bailey! They are so good looking! Of course, I like big puppies and Chester was just the biggest puppy! And such obedient puppies.

And Shadow was such a sweet hostess. I loved how she was so neat when she went into the pool, trying not to get too wet.

We have got to get together again! I loved it, my puppies loved it and I enjoyed meeting everyone.

Thanks Mimi. We really enjoyed your puppies and yes we have to do it again. Not sure about a full blown lab fest but at least a play date.

Did Max and Leeloo sleep good last night? Shadow sure did.

Yes, Max & Leeloo slept as soon as they got home and only got up for a short while for dinner and they went back to sleep again! I had no problem with them sleeping together, usually I have to separate them or they will play all night long (that means ramming each other against the walls)

It was great!

We took Shadow for a walk last night and then again this morning. All day she was moping around. I am not sure if it was her being tired or if she missed everyone. I think it was a little of both. She sniffed around the yard off and on all day today and she kept going to the gate to see if anyone was coming. We definately have to have another play day even if just for a few.

I agree, when I took Leeloo & Max out last night. Leeloo went and sat infront of my car door, like saying "lets go back". I know my pups enjoyed it!

I could tell by the way they were playing that they enjoyed it alot.

Shadow was back to her fiesty self last night. She was ready to play. I guess she was just tired. :D

On Sunday my husband and I were getting ready to go clothes shopping and Ao was jumping around seeing us get ready and even went and tried to grab her leash. I guess she was thinking she was going to have another party. HEHE....
She didn't eat hardly at all yesterday but now she's back to herself.
