View Full Version : Tissue salts...
Black Labbies 12-02-2004, 12:07 PM Woohoo we're going to be trying something new with Zoe.
Just talked with her vet, Dr. Wanda, and I asked what she thought about Tissue salts, she said "great idea, which ones.... (like she leaves it for me to decide...ha)", so I told her which ones I thought might help Zoe's digestive system and she gave the approval (have I ever told you how much we love our dogs' vet ?:)).
First we're doing another detoxing this weekend, then wait 2 weeks, and then give her tissue salts for about 3 weeks.
Here's a link on Tissue salts:

(P.S. Zencat - next batch of homemade diet will be grain-free. This, along with the tissue salts should help Zoe's hyper-acidic tummy to settle down. Plan #2 is still hanging in the air...
Anyone else used Tissue salts before? If you have, please tell me more about them.
ZenCat 12-02-2004, 12:31 PM Oh Lisa you ROCK!!! I've never heard of tissue salts before. FASCINATING!!!
Which were you thinking of for Zoe? CALCIUM PHOSPHATE: Nutrition salt and Tonic? I need to read more. Where can I read more? Only if you have links handy... you know I know how to search ;)
Can't wait to hear how everything goes!!
ZenCat 12-02-2004, 12:39 PM Reading this one right now:

Yes, and this one; NATRUM PHOSPHATE: Acid Neutraliser. One at a time though, starting with the acid neutraliser.

LOL!! It stretches, Jacky! I never heard of them till Black as night posted this yesterday!
So now I can remember the first 8 ingredients of about 10 different dog foods, but I can't remember anyone's phone numbers. What's with THAT???
Black Labbies 12-25-2004, 08:49 AM Update on Tissue Salts and Zoe.
We've been giving Zoe the tissue salts once daily for a week now and :tup2:  !
Heather 12-26-2004, 09:04 AM I had been wondering how Zoe was doing with the tissue salts. Glad to hear that she is doing so well with them. What changes/benefits have they brought her?
The idea is really interesting to me.

Hi Heather,
Zoe produces too much stomach acid which causes her great pains and when she's "off", as we call it, she moans and cries in pain.
On the Tissue Salts we have heard no moaning or crying  . Before this we tried some chinese herbs which helped her, but not to the degree that the Salts are. Also, we were giving her a Maalox or Pepcid AC daily to keep the excess stomach acid under control,... no need for that anymore on the Tissue Salts.
I'll be phoning Dr. Wanda next week with an update and then she'll decide if we need to increase the dosage or not. Currently giving 4 drops on her gums or tongue 1X daily (started off with a small dosage as per her instructions).
The Tissue Salts are new to us but so far we're very pleased with them :).
Heather 12-26-2004, 10:45 AM Wow, Lisa, that is incredible and does my heart good to hear that she is in less pain!
Poor Zoe. She is so lucky to have you for a mom. I cannot imagine what she would be going through if she did not have you to keep looking for answers and alternative therapies.
I know that Tyson has benefitted from your knowledge as well. Thanks from both of us!
