Seems to make sense to do a gradual transition...taking dogs from Pedigree and Beneful to Diamond. I would be just fine getting rid of the other stuff..but if a long transition is better for the dog then I'll do that...still have a full 30 pound bag of Beneful and half bag of Pedigree. I was wondering what was better for the dog...smooth transition or getting off the "lesser" food as quickly as possible.

You guys think a couple days of half and half before complete change would suffice? We'll be mixing with canned anyway...which is new for our dogs...so I think they would eat scrap metal if I used that. :)
