Well I finally switched Sunny over to better food and that's going really well but now my question is what are some good treats/bones for him? He was eating milkbones, which I have learned are very bad, and I have stopped giving him them, but I'm not sure what to get for him now? I would really appreciate if yall could throw some good ideas out there for me:)

Most of the makers of high quality kibble also make biscuits. Nutro, Canidae, Wellness, Natural Balance....they all have biscuits and treats.

While I don't particularly LIKE the ingredients in Milkbones, since mine don't have allergies, we do keep them in the house for a special treat since they love them. I am sure it's the sugars! LOL

I, like you, ditched the milkbones and I have seen a marked improvement. I would reccomend Innova treats. I forget what they are called but Jackson loves them and they are very good for him. Also try people food, fruit, cottage cheese, plain yogurt etc to mix things up. When i am training I use peices of hotdog. Cook the pieces in the microwave until they are dry and then let them cool. They are little crunchy treats.

We did buy some Nutro bones but they were pretty pricey for as many "treats" Sunny gets a day....lol. I'll have to go back to the store and look again. Yes, and I agree, Sunny loves milkbones also.

I buy these - they are low in fat, baked and contain no added soy, sugar, salt or artificial flavors, colors and preservatives. Jax loves them.
