Urgent-emaciated Lab At Shelter In Tn...
Does anybody know of a rescue or a Foster that can please help this girl.
Saw this on Best Friends. Seems they will try to pull her tomorrow and take her to a vet but the Network Girls don't have the funds.
Poor Emaciated Lab at Tipton Shelter, in TN> Can anyone foster here?

RE: RE: RE: ANY NEWS ON Jessa--AT TIPTON???Heartbreaking!
I just talked to Traci---they didn't even know that Jessa has an open sore on back leg that is oozing and it looks like she has a a bad maybe hip injury??
They would put her down TODAY---I asked her some "what-if's"---like if we could pull her now and get her vetted---and then see about adoption!!

UPDATE: They will pull her 1st thing in AM ---I asked Traci to find some antibiotics to give her now!!! Her leg looks pretty bad.

I am the sponser of this action so far BUT PLEASE I NEED HELP!!! DONATIONS AND IDEAS.

She may be vetted for a while!!

I'm talking to one of Traci's friends now, a lovely volunteer that donates a lot of time and effort to the animals of Tipton.

Here are some interesting tidbits on Jessa/Dorie:

RE: JESSA FUND--c/o Traci Parris

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

JESSA HAD BEEN SHOT! Yup, someone apparantly was a bad shot, and the bullit passed right through Jessa's leg. The GOOD NEWS is that NO bones, or joints appear to have been damaged.

Jessa's only health issues appear to be to clear infection; worming, (tape and round); to fatten her up. She is already responding--she is gobbling up food and is able to walk.

Throughout all of the poking and proding Jessa showed NO signs of aggression. I have been told that she is a sweet one. They say, "okay Jessa, kennel up", and she goes right in her cage--smarty!

More Good News: Traci seems to have a foster situation good to go with an easy transport---on Betty's route. I don't think there will be problems finding her a forever home.

Meanwhile, Jessa has a little ways to go to cure infection, so she will be at Hillcrest a bit longer.

MORE INFO. LATER

RE: Jessa--Heartbreaking!

ANOTHER UPDATE: People at shelter were able to see some ID# on Jessa's collar---They tracked down a person who said that yes, indeed, she once owned DORIE, (Jessa's name then), but that she gave her away to someone, (?), and didn't know Jessa had been shot. What do you think--hmmm?!
Jessa, (like that name better), is 20 mths. old--will be 2 in Jan. and IS spayed.

To think that Jessa was about to be put down on Monday.

Just got this msg. off of Best Friends Forum.

Hillcrest Animal Hsptl. information is on this thread-- above this post. PLS. DONATE if you can
RE: JESSA FUND--c/o Traci Parris

As it stands now, I am waiting for Jill from Hillcrest to call me back about Jessa's progress, etc. and Jill said that only ONE person donated to Jessa Fund---not counting me who will have to pick up rest of tab. What happened people--I am sad that only one person donated --I just paid over 500 for BEAR -his treatment and all. I am in dire need of help. I would appreciate any spare change...Thanks

I now may have to also bring her up here as americanlabrescue said they would help place her if we foster. ???? who knows..
