Scott's friend gave him some venison yesterday. Scott didn't want to eat it and he told me to give it to the dogs. I know raw is good but I was afraid to give it to them raw so I grilled it on the grill.

They devoured it!

I bet they'd like it raw too. Do you have any with bone, or just steaks?

Venison was one of the few bones that I have given to Calvin that didn't get him sick...Unfortunately, though, he was able to snap the bone in half (ugh)...so I don't trust him with it...even with a watchful eye.

For Calvin's b-day I gave him a steak...I cooked it lightly.

It was actually a bunch of little pieces - like stew meat. I'm sure it was fine but since I didn't know how it was "prepared" from the kill I didn't want to chance it.

I have a little left over so they'll get the rest tonight.
