I'm looking to invest in a video camera, and would prefer not to spend $1000.
I don't really need image stablilization, etc. as what I want it for is to shoot video at poetry readings. I'll set up a tripod center stage in the first three rows or so and shoot from there, so a decent, easy zoom would be helpful. I also need decent quality in various lighting conditions, ease of download, and clear sound.(although I'll probably dub a lot in later) I'm going to edit these in Premier to make DVDs, similar to a music video with various images, etc. except with poetry.
Anybody have some recommendations?
