Since so many people have contacted me wanting to help with transports, I thought we should make this a "sticky". Then, we could refer to a specific State and narrow down to a location and volunteers.

Just add to this thread by posting a reply. Make the subject the state you are volunteering to transport in, then come down to the message part and enter the city you could transport from and a general mileage estimate.

I live in mid Michigan, the Flint, Saginaw.....Frankenmuth, Birch Run......I guess the thumb area would cover it. LOL.......We would be happy to do whatever needed to get a baby, to a new family, and a happy permanent home.
I would also be happy to check the Flint area Humane Society, each week, and post what is available. I would think there is a Lab Rescue group in Michigan........
I know everytime I call there, they tell me they have alot of Lab mix.......always older, never or rarely puppies. Have settled in MA. Can do 300 miles in any direction after Monday 1/10/05. I have a camper shell on an extended cab Toyota Tundra so plenty of space for crates or furry backseat occupants.

We're located in NE Oregon close to WA and ID and can make arangements to help with transit anywhere there-abouts... I make regular trips to Portland (250 miles), and Boise (150 miles). We have a station-wagon with devider and a pickup with canopy (large and xlarge crates). I will also be makeing a trip (driveing) this spring to Alaska thru BC and north if that would help anyone.

South Central PA

Well specificly Royal Oak which is in the Detroit Metro Area. Depending on the criticality I would be willing to drive what it takes to get the job done. I can't foster a lab as I have a very small yard and an invisible fence, but I would love to assist in anyway I can.

We are near Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. Can transport 150-200 miles in any direction. Work days but available evenings and weekends.

I live in Lincoln and can drive east from Lincoln to Omaha or west from Lincoln as far as Kearney on I-80 or 2 hours north or south of Lincoln.
