Lol, I am obsessively searching the net and asking around for some puppy names!! Here are some I found and like

Male- Zeke, Toby, Ben, Baron, Jake, Rajah

Female- Callie, Abby, Cheyenne, Chloe, Tallie

I like Ben and Cheyenne the best out of these. What do you guys think? Or does anyone have some more suggestions? Thanks!

Those are all great names but I think you have to se the dog and around the dog to deside what name fit's best for him .

All great names, I am sure you will find one that suits your pup. We were stuck for a few days and just decided he was a Cooper.
I wanted a New York Yankee name but Jeter and Thurmon were shot down by the girls.

You'll definately find a name...it'll come to you either when you see the pup or when you learn a little about it's personality....although, don't wait too long...i mean, i hate to say this,...and don't get me wrong....jack is definately a jack....but if i had waited too long i probably would've wanted to call him SockHunter....because that's what he loves to do, hunt and steal our socks....but i don't think brad would've appreciated that...lol:angel:

Labracorn has a black lab named Nitro. I always thought that was a cool name.

I named Tucker "Tucker", but for some reason, he really only responds to "Poop"...it is very funny, but also embarassing...I think it goes back to when I was housebreaking him, I thought you weren't supposed to say the dog's name when they went to the bathroom in the house because they would associate their name with "bad"...sooooo, everytime he went in the house I would say "bad poop, bad poop!!"and everytime he went outside I would say "good poop, good poop!!"

All great names, our neighbor just got a Yellow pup and named him Josiah. I hear him outside calling him and it sounds cool. We came up with our dogs' name before we got him, and it just fit.
But be careful, dogs seem to live up to their names...ie. our McTavish is a stubborn Scottsman, and Rhys is definitely 'fiery and zealous'!

If I would of called Lexi a name after really getting to know her, it would either be, "cat poop thief" or "lawn mower chaser."

No, I like alot of male dog names. I once knew a dog named Hebrew, and they called him Bruce. That's a nice masculine name. Here are a few others I like:

male-
MOJO
Scout--hee hee
SAMPSON
and you could always be super cool and name him Jim Morrison.:D

Female:
Delilah
Cleo
Marley

TANNER 310

When we went to the breeder to pick up our pup, we have 3 names in mind. They were Tanner, Tucker and Cooper. When we got there and played with him for a little while we decided on Tanner because it just seemed to fit right. Of the ones you posted though I like Ben and Chloe the best. Let us know what you decide.

The best name I ever heard for a Lab was Sky. As in SkyLab. Also Tory , as in Lab-ra-tory. Goofy, but creative.
My picks if I had to do all over agan would be: Dozer, Hank, Beauregard, Angus or Renegade (Renny for short) for a male, and
for a female: Devon, Sammy, Athena, Lexy or Lucy. But my little girl is Brodie and my boy is Sir Francis Drake. Otherwise known as
Drakey Lee, or Dragooey or STOP IT, or NO! BE A GOOD BOY AND STOP EATING THE CAT! I think my pups are only called by their real names like once a month....

Hey Hippey Chic......I swear that I considered naming my Black Lab Leo Morrison after who else...but, Jim Morrison.

"I am the Lizard King, I can do anything!"

I never thought of Mojo, that is a great name. Mr. Mojo Risin':)

I really like the names MOJO, ABBY, and CHLOE. SASHA came with her name ,(at 5 months old from Golden Gate Lab Rescue), and I kept it as she was used to it. It is kind of a cute, unisex name. She is such a tomboy anyway...she likes it too !

I also like VELVET as a female black lab name.

All of my girls have something in their name relating to color:

Saffron (reddish yellow)
Pepper (she's black)
Obsidian Pixley (she is Pixley to us, also black)
Java (and black yet again)

My wife wanted them all named with similar names (like all spices) but that was rather tedious to figure out all the black spices.....

Josie pretty much named herself, for her affinity to our cat herd at an early age (Josie and The *****cats). Had I taken one of her brothers his name would have been Hammer (Thor's Dakota Hammer). Their daddy was Thor (Thor's Highpoint Sureshot). Thor died a tragic heat related death just a couple days ago, at age 3...

Thanks, SM. It was a real shock to everyone. I told Thor's owner that he can take comfort in the thought that Thor will hunt on forever in The Thundering Herd (there were 14 pups in the litter). BTW, Josie's mom is Jacie (pronounced Jaycee, registered name Smokey Mountain Belle II). Josie's registered name is Jacie's Dakota Gold...

You could always use the name Buddy...... hahaha
I wanted to change his name as soon as I got him to be something special with the way I rescued him, but we had problems from the get go and the only word he knew was Buddy, so I decided I better stick to the generic.

Usually though my animals go in sequence.
Lizards = Carter and Beuford (see drummer,Dave Matthews)
Gerbils= jimmi and hendrix
Dog and Cat= Myles and Davis (miss them!!! Uhh, Myles Davis)

If Buddy could have a partner right now, his name would be Rich as in the drummer Buddy Rich

Ive always done this..its "clever" I suppose. People get it half the time and the other half, well you can laugh at them for not picking up on it:p:

I love both pups, one is male and one is female, now I gotta pick. Or maybe take both. Lol. I don't know yet, but I'm leaving for the shelter now.

My favorite lab name was the name of my first one - Maris (as in Roger Maris) - it fit her so well, and my hubby is a baseball nut. New puppy is named Mayzie - after the Dr. Suess book Daisy-Head Mayzie. Her mom's name is Daisy, and my daughter picked it. So many great names on this board!! We loved Sandberg, too - but thought it was better for a little boy puppy.

Ok!!!! I have my new baby!!!!!

She's a black lab/dalmation mix and she's 8 weeks old and weighs 5 pounds

Her name is Tracker. ^^

I will post pictures ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!! I must take many of them first! Lol. Bye!

Congratulations on your new baby. Tracker is a really cool name. We kept Katies name since she was almost three when we got her. Like everyone said, you will know the name when you see the dog. We named our beloved Storm after 3 days of having her and she lived up to her name. She was all black, and came thru the house and yard like a "Storm" and did a whole bunch of damage.

Give your puppy lots of hugs and kisses for me. I missed all that with Katie, but I make up for it all day, everyday, giving her lots of loving.

^_^ there is a never ending supply of hugs and kisses here!!

We went to the vet today, and it turns out, she's not 8, almost 9 weeks old, she's not even 7 weeks old!!!!! No wonder she's so small!! She only weighs 7 pounds too.

I get my pictures back tomorrow so I will scan and post them ASAP!

I LOVE the name Cheyenne. Right after we brought Montana home we decided that in about two years we would get a chocolate and name her Cheyenne. Eventually we will also have to get a black and I like the name Onyx but not sure if that will definetly be the name we choose.
Well congrats on your pup and I love the name Tracker. Too cute.

I'm sorry, but that was just hilarious! :)

Female: Koko, Mojo, Major Houlihan (Hula for short!)

Male: Bosco, Murphy, Kenai (Keen-eye)

I liked Cheyenne, too!
