I can't find the original thread on this so thought I'd restart it. Just wondering how many of the Washington area people might be interested in a get together sometime in spring? I remember Barb (3lablady) mentioning the possibility of holding it at her place. ;):D I'd be up for a possible road trip if it wasn't too far. Anyone else?

Yes it is. It's really nice there. We went there in Sept. and Trish was there again, and Trina and her DH and Jess and Chris too! It was so much fun. I already have our Reservations made and so does Trish. It books up fast, the tent sites not as fast but it's an awesome park. We are right on the lake.

Let me know when and where and I'll see what I can do! The boys love play dates with other labbies!

Barb, we'd probably just make a day trip again. But maybe we'll stay through dinner or something. It seriously only took us about 2 hours to get there. We love road trips so 2 hours was just nothin. DH isn't much of a "campsite" camper. He grew up camping with his dad and grandpa in the middle of the montana wilderness. :floor

we're in Orting -- have to have a lab when living on a river!! Due to the major football game today, my dogs are called Rush (Sadie) & Fumble (the Golden). Sadie's almost 7, but behaviorally passes for 6 months.

I am definetly in. My only concern is trying to make it with school. I graduate in June then I have state boards. So if it is after that, or in between quarters or a long weekend that would work. I went a couple years ago when we went to Federal Way? i think it was. We met at a dog park. that was fun, but if we could do a park where we do a potluck and hang out for a while that would be GREAT!

Has this happened yet? If not, Lucy would love to come, assuming it's on a day when when can make it.

Edit: Nevermind... somehow I only saw the first page of this thread. Lucy would definitely like to meet some new friends whenever this happens. In the meantime, those of you in Seattle, keep your eyes open for a fluff-ball Lab at Magnuson or Golden Gardens or Woodland Park. If you see us, make sure to say hi!

Not sure where it's going to be. I was thinking of having a small one at our place because we have the property. But with Maggie now having had some seizures I don't want other dogs over that might get her overly excited and trigger off any more seizures. I think she is now living on borrowed time and want her to enjoy what's left.

There are parks but not sure which ones you can have dogs off leash. Hey you can bring Otis down anytime, everyone liked him especially Autumn!!

It's just a big play date. They run around and play while the owners chat, throw slimy balls and dispense treats. :D

Hmm...well, seeing how the weather is being TOTALLY uncooperative..what about later in the summer?? Or do you guys want to shoot for sooner? I am kind of in limbo until I take the NCLEX-(Nursing state boards) I should take it hopefully by the end of july...I HOPE!

end of july or later is best for me. I have company coming end of june and in mid july.

I just found this... Did it ever happen? The park in Steilacoom is pretty nice, we go there a lot. It'd be fun to meet some other labs.
