Hi there. I was just wondering ... for those of you who feed your labs Wellness ... did you start your pups out on puppy or one of the adult blends???

I know there are two schools of thought ... 1 being to feed puppy for all the great nutrients and the other says feed adult to avoid issues that are linked to rapid growth.

I sent an email to Old Mother Hubbard (the makers of Wellness) to see what they suggested and they advise against feeding the adult formulation to puppies. They do suggest changing to adult food around the 8 month mark instead of a year.

Just thought others might be interested in their reply.

I *just* started switching Olive's food to Wellness last night. Olive is now 7mths old and my vet suggested that we stay on puppy food until she is 12mths old. We decided to get the puppy food based on the recommendation from my vet. We'll see how Olive does. I'll probably start introducting adult food around 10mths and have her fully on adult food by 12mths.
