well i came back and gave Bella a knuckle type bone? looks like this:

is that the right thing? i scraped out as much of the marrow as i could and she just kept going at the knuckle. she scraped off the outside of the knuckle and started to eat the inside of the bone.. it's a really hard substance, kinda felt like a pumice stone. i wasn't sure if it was safe for her... did i buy the right thing?

($0.49/lb... they were going to give me one whole bone and it was almost 5 lbs by itself! but i just bought the knuckle instead)

These are what I give to Charley, I get them raw from the meat section in my super market. To ease him into it I would let him have a frozen one for about 15 mins and then take it away. Each week I would let him have it for a longer amount of time. Now he can tolerate a whole marrow bone with no problem.
