Mika has been with me for many months and I don't know why she is not getting adopted???? She looks older, but she can't be over 4 or 5, she is a mix, and I think perhaps with a German pointer since she has white all through her bittersweet chocolate coat. (Oh, BTW, she is deathly afraid of the camera, too.)

She is in desperate need of a family. She doesn't get along great with Buddy, my blind foster. I have to keep them seperated and keep Mika in the garage (it is heated, but still...................that is no life!!!!). If you can't adopt her and just want to foster, that'd be great, too.

She is a love bug, completely house trained, very sweet and very loving, has lots of energy, loves to go bye-bye, loves everyone, would be best in a home without more than 1 dog already. She does like to be the Top Dog. :)

Linda, Mika is a beautiful girl. There has to be that special someone out there for her. I am praying that she finds the perfect home soon.

Oh Linda, this is breaking my heart. I just wish that Mika and my crew would have gotten along when they met in November. I'm praying that Mika finds her forever home. She is a sweet little girl and so beautiful! The pictures don't do her justice. She would make a wonderful addition to someone's family.

Oh She is so beautiful! I'm sure she and you will find the right home for her soon. Sometimes the best things just take a little paitence and prayers.

Dogs that are older or look older are almost like poison, nobody wants it or them. So sad, really.

I know the right home will come along for her. Extra prayers headed your way for her. She is so cute I don't know how anybody could not love her.

You are right, a lot of people don't want older dogs. Now that I have the experience with a puppy I would adopt an older dog, it would just be easier!!

Thanks everyone. I just got back from taking Mika to her forever home and they were thrilled!!!! They are dog savvy, too. I am so happy for her, they live by a walking trail and have a nice house. She'll be spoiled rotten, just like we like it. :)

Congratulations, I had tears welling up in my eyes reading this thread and then to read the happy conclusion, well, I could definitely use that box of tissues now!!! You must be so happy tonight. What a wonderful job you are doing.
