A true ingredient list in order of content would be more helpful. I'm a little thrown by the dehyrated form.

I tried this food when I was looking for an alternative to raw that would be more appealing to my dogsitter when I went on vacation (they don't feed raw). The girls weren't too impressed with the texture but once they got over that they liked it. I didn't end up using it in the end but only because I found something I liked better.

I used it for a while before I went raw. Boomer really liked it a lot. It is good food. And a good alternative the raw.

Hmmm. What type of 'protein' is in it, it doesn't say on their website?

Their first ingredient listed is turkey...that's a protein, right?

Something to consider - the Honest Kitchen has allied themselves with PETA, an extreme animal rights organization that would ultimately like to see an end to the practice of keeping dogs (or any animals) as companions :(

PETA would like to thank the following compassionate companies, which are members of our “PETA Business Friends” program. These companies are generous PETA and animal rights supporters. (To learn more about this program, please visit PETABusinessFriends.com.)

I totally disagree with the extreme measures adopted by PETA but IMO I think we will be safe having pets as companions considering every President, regardless of affiliations has had a pet in the White House & so does members of the US Congress. Also, I don't think Cesar Milan & his Hollywood buddies would let this happen.
But thanks for the info.

It's not that it would ever happen, it's that it is their position, their stance.

Affiliation with PETA would have me looking at other dog foods. JMO

Doesn't make sense that a dog food company would affiliate themselves with a organization trying to stop the ownership of companion pets - who the heck is going to buy their dog food - not that PETA will ever succeed mind you. But you get the idea.
