What's the story with them, Tammy? Good grief, are they adorable! How can they be homeless at such a young age?

Barb are they ADORABLE or what!!!!!????? They were picked up by Animal Control as strays from the same shelter we got the Choco's from...that doesn't adopt out. I think most will be adopted by this weekend-I hope, LOL. They are all precious-healthy other than being a bit thin and cute as can be. There were 4 yellows and 1 black...1 yellow female has already been adopted as well as 1 yellow male. :)

Oh Hank...you KNOW you want one! And you to Burtman!!!!!

The one in the bottom pictures-in the grass w/ tall the weeds in it, LMAO...that was the 1 female in the litter. I had her Friday night and her new family picked her up Saturday afternoon. Now I have the gorgeous deep red/yellow skinny boy shown in several of the pictures...I think he's the one Morgan was holding in one of the pictures as well...he is just gorgeous!

Kirby, the little black pup w/ eyes that will melt your soul was adopted last night! They chose HIM over the Yellow boy!!!!! WOOHOOOOO!!!!!! I was worried about if someone would be interested in his adoption-sadly most want yellow and chocolates.

We now have 2 males left-I doubt they'll be here long.

Hi All,
I am in Massachusetts and am looking for a Black or Yellow Lab pup for my family. We lost our 12 1/2 year old black lab about 2 years ago ,and think it is about time to get a new family member.

Please help. My children really miss having a dog.
thanks
Jay

Try going to www.Petfinder.com . They have listings of dogs in your area.

How do you adopt over long distance? And how do the dogs fly in the airplane? In the luggage compartment/ crated. What is the airline ticket cost and adoption fees? Sorry for the many questions, but we are new to this type of process. I did try petfinder but not alot of luck.

thanks:)

Why don't you send Tammy a PM -- she may not have seen this.

Before I found my pup locally I looked into possibly shipping a puppy. I can't remember the exact quote but it was around 200.00 plus cost of a crate. Also, when I was looking for my pup I asked my vet for local breeders and I also went to search engines like google.com and did a search for Labrador Breeders in PA. So you might want to try that too. I was amazed at how many breeders were in my area. Also word of mouth is an excellent way to find a breeder. If someone in your neighborhood has a lab just ask which breeder they used. Also, one more thing is rescue shelters. They have all different ages and even pups. I just signed up to volunteer at my local lab rescue and I couldn't believe how many labs they have just in my area. It is heartbreaking!
Good luck and hope you find the pup that you are looking for!

We flew Cooper via Delta Airlines...he traveled in a crate in a temperature controlled cargo area on the plane I believe. They will only fly pets in or out of Houston in the morning or evening...Cooper had to be on his flight at 5 a.m. yesterday or somewhere around that time.

If you submit an application and we have a volunteer in the area where you live-we can set up a home visit once the application is completed. :)

I believe his flight was around $140 plus the adopter had to purchase a crate (we purchased one from Delta which ended up being cheaper...they have it all ready w/ shredded newspapers and everything when the pup arrives at the airport...I'll find out the cost of the crate from Delta). Our adoption fee depending on dog/puppy can be anywhere from $125-$175.
