Since there were a few PMs floating around to schedule playdates at the new doggie park I thought maybe I could get some feedback and we could set up a big playdate/mini-labfest. Let me know some dates that would be workable. I know my Saturday's are booked until the July 12th, but Sundays would be workable (except June 15th since it is Father's Day)

York is about 1 1/2 hrs. north of me, but I might actually try to do that -- see if I could meet some of the people on this site! Where is this located, and is it just a large fenced park, or are there other things there as well? Info, please!

The 28th of June is a Saturday. Wanted to let you know that they are having an event at Codorus State Park on the 28th (my lab rescue will have a booth set up there) and they have the dock dog competition all day. Here is the link - it's close to the York and Hanover PA area. We were there last year and it was a BLAST!

I found this website, this lady runs a private 2 acre dog park and doesn't charge you to use it, she even welcomes play groups, meet ups, etc. It has a diving dock and agility course. It looks like an awesome place to have a meet up not quite as far as new jersey, it's 20 miles south of Williamsport in PA

It happens to be very close to relatives and friends, so I may check it out on a trip up there to visit everyone. I just can't get over it being free. I just found a private dog park in middletown, that is $50/year, have gone a couple times, it is nice and I like that it is close. You can also let your dog swim in their pool for an extra $5.

Coby, how many dogs are usually at the one in Middletown? Do they have areas for large & small dogs?
I live in Etters & that's not too far of a drive for me.

Celmo- The first time we went, on a Sunday morning, there were 4 dogs including mine, the 2nd time, there were a few more and that was in the evening, I'd say we were there for only about an hour and the most dogs there was 6.
I have also taken him to their day care a couple times, and I have not seen very many dogs in the dog park when I've driven by. They have three separate areas, but they don't designate them into sizes, although they said the big dogs tend to hang out in the one largest area. It's not a bad deal especially if it's not a far drive for you , plus I like that you can take them swimming! It is called greenlin kennels if you want to check their website. :thumb4:

Update: I have gone two more times since my last post, Sun afternoon, no other dogs there,:( today in the afternoon and no dogs there at first, but after a few min, 2 dogs came for a little while.:p: Coby has not had alot of experience with other dogs since I've had him, he got really rowdy with the other dogs, and I noticed one of them nicked him on the cheek, there was a small superficial "scratch" that was bleeding slightly. He also jumps on the human park visitors, :o: but they don't seem to mind.

Funny, that's about the time we were getting there w/Franco & Bettis. Must have just missed you or you were leaving as we came in. See you next time.

I probably saw you then, I saw the 2 labs coming in and was wondering if that was you guys. I just was not feeling too well and wanted to go home and rest, plus Kodi was tired and was looking like he wanted to go
