When anybody walks around the corner to his kennel, Buddy looks up hopefully, imploring them to take him home. But so far, he has been out of luck. Buddy has been in the Venango County Humane Society shelter for nearly seven weeks since he was dropped off by his owner as a result of a marital breakup. Buddy is a 2-year-old, friendly, frisky and curious dog with the personality and appearance of a black lab, although we are unable to say he is a purebred. He has not been neutered or received any training, so he can be a bit exuberant -- but he has a sweet, eager-to-please disposition that would make him a wonderful family pet with a little bit of time and effort. All adopted animals come with a certificate for a free spay/neuter, which is required upon adoption.
Buddy is available at the Venango County Humane Society shelter in Oil City, PA. You may get more information about our shelter by visiting our site on Petfinder.org, or by calling (814) 677-4040.

Please if you don't mind keep me updated on this doggie! If at anytime he is in danger of being put down I would be willing to drive and pick him up. I am a volunteer for brookline lab rescue. We are mostly in Central and Eastern Pa, Jersey and Maryland but I would certainly drive to pick him up and find him a good foster home.
